Naemi obtained her BSc in Psychology and her Research MSc in Behavioural Science from Radboud University Nijmegen.

She is a PhD student on our Differentiation in Education project, funded by Nationaal Regieorgaan Onderwijsonderzoek (NRO) of the Dutch Research Council (NWO), examining unequal treatment and unequal opportunities in the classroom. She explores the impact of more subtle, informal within-classroom differentiation on social exclusion and children’s self-views, using observational and experimental methods. She is broadly interested in the role of teachers and peers in the social and emotional development of children.
