Mirna obtained her BSc in Psychology at the University of Zagreb and her MSc in Psychology (with a specialization in Social Psychology) at the University of Amsterdam. She will soon complete her PhD in Social Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, supervised by Francesca Righetti, with a dissertation examining experiences of ambivalence (having simultaneous positive and negative feelings) and indifference (having neither positive nor negative feelings) toward a romantic partner.
Mirna is a Postdoctoral Researcher on our Research Priority Area "Real Emotion" project conducted in collaboration with Gerben van Kleef, which aims to understand experiences of parental pride and their influences on children. Mirna’s research integrates work on emotions, close relationships, and interpersonal perception to answer fundamental questions about how the people around us make us feel.
